Moccasin Wallow Road Improvements
Over the next two weeks, the contractor anticipates completing final connections to the new water main system and will be preparing for the upcoming traffic switch on Moccasin Wallow Road. Due to recent inclement weather impacts, paving is rescheduled for Monday night, January 29. Work will include utility and road construction operations followed by paving roadway transitions from the existing roadway to the new roadway. The intersection of Moccasin Wallow Road (south side) and Fort Hamer Road will be closed until Tuesday, January 30th. See the map on the back of this notification for closure areas and detour routes.
Traffic on Moccasin Wallow Road will be shifted to newly constructed roadway transition areas from west of 115th Avenue to U.S. 301, Tuesday, January 30th. Motorists are urged to exercise caution and observe the new traffic patterns when traveling in this area. The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph on U.S. JOJ approaching the intersection of Moccasin Wallow Road.
